It is a relief for PD patients that there are new medicines as an alternative of the old ones.

As we are in the underdeveloped countries we are still behind on the uses of this medicines.

As these medicines been used for many years in your country can you share your experiences on their applications and successful to slowdown from PD's progression?

Are they effective than the old Medicines i.e sinemet, mandapor?.

Are they helpful to relief the nausea,constipation,on/off unpredictable fluctuation?

How the patient receives respond or tolerate with the changes of the medicine?

Are they optimal combination with PD?

There are Stalevo(Novartic) 2.Ropinirole(Requip) 3.Pramipexole/Sifrol (Boehringer Ingelheim) Thanks Teo Kim Hoe

No medication has been proven to slow down the progression of the disease, however with this new meds as initial therapy we can delay the progression to motor fluctuations and dyskinesias. They also provide more choices to keep the patient "on" for a longer period of time. There are side ffects like nausea and vomiting, dizziness and hallucinations, but the right dose can avoid all these._________________Ramon L Rodriguez, MD
